Level I - Foundation Training

An introduction to The Wholeness Work®

What is Wholeness Work?

It is a precise and specific model for actually doing what many spiritual teachings talk about.

If you have explored Eastern spirituality, you have probably heard sentences like “The small self is an illusion. Recognize that you are a vast Self,” or “Enlightenment comes through the loss of the ego.” But what do such statements actually mean?

In this training you learn a step-by-step process for dissolving the everyday sense of ego. The experience ranges from utterly ordinary to something that can be quite profound.

And what does that have to do with solving our life problems?

With Wholeness Work, the integration with daily life is natural and immediate. Our life issues can genuinely become doorways into the experience of this “vast Self” - or simply into a sense of loving presence and clarity. And the life issues themselves are transformed along the way.

In the online format we have 4 sessions of 3 hours each

Session 1: What is Wholeness Work?

A guided group experience in which you get to know the elements of Wholeness Work. You learn the Wholeness Work Basic Process, the foundational process for dissolving the sense of ego. You come to understand “How do you find an ‘I’?” and “What is awareness?”. Together we lay the groundwork for a precise and reliable method for “dissolving the everyday sense of ego”.

Session 2: Life issues, meditation & sleep

Going deeper: how to dissolve the ego in a precise way and transform everyday strain along with it. You learn to find layers of “ego” and to apply the 3 “directions of integration”. You experience the Wholeness Work “Life Practice” format as a daily meditation and discover how it can help you sleep more restfully, often making a dramatic difference where there are sleep problems. Integration toward true “wholeness”.

Session 3: The Reclaiming Inner Authority process

The Reclaiming Inner Authority process can be deeply transformative with feelings such as embarrassment, shame, guilt and much more. It gently leads us to reclaim our own authority and to act out of the “whole” rather than out of bare rules or a sense of “having to” or “ought to”. In doing so we integrate our natural authority, which until now we have projected outward and coded internally as “not-I”.

Session 4: “What’s missing”

This format heals deep grief, loss, a sense of emptiness or neediness. Working with the Reclaiming Inner Authority process beforehand matters, so that we give ourselves permission for this deep healing and feel that we are worthy of it. We learn how the different Wholeness Work formats fit together.

The first two training sessions teach the basic methods for dissolving limiting ‘I’ perspectives. In sessions 3 and 4 we open up the next phase of Wholeness Work, working with further structures that separate us from the wholeness of our true Self.

The Wholeness Principles

On each day of the training you learn more about the underlying Wholeness Principles that make this work so effective. When you learn these principles through direct experience in the training, they “stick”.

You learn:

  • The 5 primary principles of Wholeness Work
  • How integration through Wholeness Work differs from ordinary “integration”
  • The 3 “directions of integration” and when to use each one
  • Recognizing and working with reactions
  • What to do when it “doesn’t work”
  • How to follow what is happening in the moment
  • The differences from ordinary NLP work
  • And much more...

The Wholeness Work as a daily practice

If you decide to use this simple method as a life practice (and once you have learned it, that can take just a few minutes a day), you will most likely experience a fundamental change in how you are in the world.

Some describe it as a growing sense of well-being, peace or joy. It is a way of being that lets us meet others more and more out of wisdom, compassion and humor. Instead of rigidly pursuing “perfection”, well-being arises through an increasingly effortless way of including and integrating whatever shows up in our experience.

Frequently asked questions about Level I

No, Level I is the entry point and asks for no previous experience. The Wholeness Work differs from NLP and other methods in important respects. All you need is openness and a willingness to engage with a personal process.

After Level I you can apply the basic formats for yourself and begin to practice them with others. For professional work with clients I recommend completing at least Level I-III. Many people first use Level I as a powerful tool for their own transformation.

Many spiritual practices keep meditative states and everyday life apart. The Wholeness Work integrates the two seamlessly. Your life issues become doorways to deeper experience, and those experiences in turn transform your life issues. It is practical, precise and immediately applicable.

Taking part on both days matters, because the material builds on itself. Attending only one day is unfortunately not possible.
