The essentials at a glance

  • Core Transformation is an approach of its own by Connirae Andreas, related to The Wholeness Work®.
  • The process works with the positive purpose of an inner part and leads step by step into Core States.
  • Out of the Core States, patterns can change for good. In Vienna, Teaching Trainer Ralph Köbler accompanies this work.

What is Core Transformation?

Core Transformation is a process developed by Connirae Andreas in the 1990s. CT is not a “foundational module” of The Wholeness Work®. It is an approach of its own, a related one, from the same development context.

CT works with inner “parts” and their positive purpose. Through a guided sequence of questions (“And what do you want through that, that is even deeper?”) the process leads step by step into Core States, fundamental states of being such as love, peace, being or connectedness. From there the effect can unfold “backwards” through the earlier steps of the chain and transform patterns gently.

The core idea

“Every behavior has a positive purpose. When that purpose is fulfilled at its root, in being, the behavior can change naturally.”

Research & evidence: findings from peer-reviewed research point to meaningful improvements even after brief application. Details: Core Transformation Research.

The Core Transformation process

1

Identify the part

We name the part that “does” a behavior, a feeling or a way of thinking, without fighting it.

2

Ask for the positive purpose

Step by step we explore what good thing the part actually wants to bring about.

3

Arrive at the essence

The path leads into Core States (states of being), for example love, peace or being.

4

Integration & transformation

The Core State “permeates” the chain on the way back, and patterns can change for good.

The universal Core States

At the end of the process come states of being that do not depend on outer circumstances:

Love & connectedness

A deep turning toward yourself, toward others and toward life.

Inner peace

Calm and ease, in accord with what is.

Wholeness & completeness

The experience of already being complete and whole.

Aliveness

Vitality and an immediate, fresh sense of being here.

Permission to be

Unconditional permission to be the way you are.

Oneness

A sense of being one with everything that is.

Note: CT is an approach of its own alongside The Wholeness Work®; both come from Connirae Andreas.

A practical example

Theme: procrastination

A client keeps putting off important tasks and suffers under the pressure.

1 Identify the part

“There is a part of me that stops me from starting.”

2 Positive purpose

“I want to protect you from failure and criticism.”

3 Going deeper

“What is even more important than protection?” → “safety” → “feeling held” → “love” (Core State)

4 Transformation

Out of the Core State, acting becomes possible, without inner counter-pressure.

The result

The putting-off loses its function, because the positive purpose underneath it is fulfilled in being. Acting now feels right, and lighter.

Core Transformation is not a foundational module. It is a related approach of its own, from the same development context around Connirae Andreas.

The process identifies a part, explores its positive purpose, leads into Core States such as love or peace, and then lets that effect integrate its way back through the chain.

The range reaches from troublesome habits and emotional themes to relationships and personal unfolding.
